Exalted - Dummy's Guide to Attributes

***Note: This is NOT a complete guide to Exalted and is not intended to be used on its own. This is meant to be used in conjunction with the main rulebook and is a HELP, not a SUBSTITUTE***

Welcome to the Exalted Dummies' Guide to Attributes! This little guide will provide a quick, concise, and snarky explanation of what each Attribute does at different levels. I'll let the comments provide all the exposition you need on what each Attribute is supposed to really do, since the rulebook is really supposed to take care of that. This is just here to help you remember this stuff!

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES

Strength 1 – 90-pound weakling.
Strength 3 – You'd be a decent football player.
Strength 5 – Schwarzenegger would be jealous of you.

Dexterity 1 – Regularly trips over shadows.
Dexterity 3 – You juggle with your eyes closed.
Dexterity 5 – You'd beat an Olympic Runner.

Stamina 1 – You've rarely ever been healthier than having a cold.
Stamina 3 – You can keep going for hours.
Stamina 5 – Sleep is for the weak!

SOCIAL ATTRIBUTES

Appearance 1 – Didn't just get hit with an ugly stick – you ARE the ugly stick.
Appearance 3 – No problems getting a date.
Appearance 5 – Head-explodingly hot.

Charisma 1 – You're abrasive and annoying. In other words, Adam Sandler.
Charisma 3 – People shake your hand without asking.
Charisma 5 – Kamina-esque.

Manipulation 1 – Couldn't convince a baby to cry.
Manipulation 3 – Always got away with not having homework done.
Manipulation 5 – Could convince someone he's actually a flying purple people-eater.

MENTAL ATTRIBUTES

Intelligence 1 – Hurr durr pamcaeks
Intelligence 3 – People copy your homework all the time.
Intelligence 5 – You're Albert Freakin' Einstein.

Perception 1 – Mistook a tree branch for a cat. Or was it the other way around?
Perception 3 – Spotted the Golden Snitch before anyone else.
Perception 5 – Sherlock Holmes.

Wits 1 – Regularly lost in conversations about the weather.
Wits 3 – Not flustered when monkeys fly.
Wits 5 – Who needs to plan ahead?
